Ways of Rearing Children

Having a child is one of the most worth doing and difficult experiences a person can have along his or her life. Although it may seem like how easy it is to raise children, many people are confused about how to educate them properly in the process of raising. All children are different, so the ways parents use to bring up them differ from each other too. Parenting styles influence on children's characteristic such as success, self-confidence and manners. It should be applied to children being chosen a correct method that helps their developments by parents. Parents can have three different styles on child-rearing: Authoritative, permissive and uninvolved.

One parenting style of child rearing is authoritativeness. Authoritative parents are both strict and sensitive. They not only treat with tenderness and affection toward their children but also set limit about some points. Besides, parents listen to them and try to solve what the problem is if children disobey rules which they create. They support them indulgently when children have a justifiable reason. In fact, this parenting style is considered as one of the most balanced to be used in child rearing. If a child is brought up under these conditions by an authoritative parent, the child can probably have good self-discipline, strong determination and hence great success.

Another parenting style of child rearing is permissiveness. Permissive parents are a bit more lenient and loosey-goosey with the rules. Thus, they use less punishment. They accept their children’s wishes easily and allow them to do more things. They give their children a lot of compassion and love but not strictness. Additionally, when children share any problem with them, permissive parents approach to them like a friend and they give them freedom to do as they like. Children raised under these conditions cannot stand limits and rules put by the authorities and adapt to such things in social life. Also, they have less self-discipline, and are careless and disobedient in their future lives.

Another parenting style of child rearing is being uninvolved. Uninvolved parents are the most careless and aloof toward their children; therefore, they do not use any punishment or award. They let them loose to do what they want, and meanwhile they do not constraint for good or bad under no circumstances. Above all, they deprive their children of family warmth and trust as they do not spend enough time with them. Consequently, the children who are raised by uninvolved parents have lack of self-respect, and are not adaptable and cooperative.

Briefly, there are three child-rearing styles which are authoritative, permissive and uninvolved as we can see above. Children reared depending on these styles have either self-discipline, strong determination, great success or have less self-confidence, self-respect, achievement. Regardless of which style we see above, what is important is that children should be raised as beneficial individuals for the world. Thus, if we are more attentive, conscious and responsive in the process of raising children, we will have brought up good individuals who can provide peace and security for our generation.

Housewives and Working Women

Today, the number of working women is increasing with each passing day a little more. To keep work life and home life balance for women is more difficult than men because the world of women is more overcrowded than the world of men. The reason for this is that daily works to be done at home should be necessarily in a certain order.  However, this varies depending housewives or working women because both women have different responsibilities. Housewives and working women differ in terms of the time they spend eating at home, the financial opportunities they have and the time they spare to chores such as cleaning the house and cooking cakes and cookies.

First, one of the differences between housewives and working women is the time they spend eating at home. Working women usually fudge the breakfast, but they necessarily want to drink tea or coffee; they are unable to avoid looking at olive oil or salads for lunch; they take pot luck in the evening. In contrast, housewives brew tea and they have a breakfast which includes cheese, tomato, jam or what they want accompanied by television. There is no choice for lunch, it is enough what they have at hand. But in the evening, preferably they like to prepare the table with three types of meals.

Although they do not need anything, they run to the stores and do shopping. If they set their heart on buying something, they turn around and finally put it into the bag. On the other hand, housewives get new clothes for themselves only if they necessarily need.  Housewives say ‘’ later ’’ even they really want something. Additionally, whereas working women have the possibility to have their hair blow dried at least once a week, housewives are their own hairdressers.

Third, housewives and working women are different from each other in terms of the time they spare to do housework. There is a section, which is a work life, required to allocate in the lives of working women. For this work life, they have to get up every day at the same hour and attain respectability in society. Therefore, it is clear that they cannot spend enough time for home. They take a servant for cleaning, so they have washing washed and have clothes ironed. Besides, they can make only one kind of cake and cookie. By comparison, housewives may determine when to wake up. They themselves do chores easily on a daily basis because they are in the house at least five days of the week. Furthermore, they can cook all kinds of pastry.
